Requirements

• Strong verbal and electronic communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to commute to Commerce City, CO 80022 (Required).
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience (2-3 years in a similar role).
• Residency in or near Denver, CO.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
• Accounting: 1 year (Required).

Nice To Haves

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with the electrical equipment industry or related sectors.
• Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Experience in Sales/Use Tax a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the general 'Accounting' email inbox, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
• Handle Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P) tasks, including creating invoices and accurately classifying/coding bills within the accounting system.
• Perform bank and credit card account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Track loan and debt amortization schedules, ensuring correct principal and interest allocations.
• Set up and maintain customer and vendor profiles, both externally and internally.
• Monitor and analyze project profitability, providing insights to support financial decision-making.
• Assist the Senior Accountant with month-end, quarter-end closing, and Sales & Use Tax filing processes.
