STAFF 1, ASSOCIATE ENGINEER - Night Shift

The Position Staff Associate Engineers perform professional engineering assignments not requiring licensure by the State Board of Professional Engineers & Land Surveyors. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. This position is located in District I, Las Vegas within the Permits Division. This is a night shift position and includes travel to Pahrump, Primm and Laughlin as needed. Incumbent performs engineering functions requiring analysis of diverse data, exercising judgment impacting daily operations and policy procedure implementation. Duties include field inspection; reviewing plans and maintaining documentation to ensure permitted work is in compliance with policies and standards; reviewing and processing permit applications; designing and administration of district contracts; special projects; review of temporary traffic control; preparation of technical engineering memoranda and letters; regular site reviews and implementation of field changes as required. *THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED.
