About The Position

The Stacker role is responsible for assembling laminated subassemblies for stator winding, pole winding, exciter winding and rotor assembly. The Stacker position is part of the Lamination Team skills Matrix. This position works as a team member utilizing and performing to the Lamination Team skills matrix, which outlines the comprehensive skills in the Lamination Team.

Requirements

High School degree or equivalent (preferred) with 1 year of related manufacturing experience (preferred).
Ability to obtain basic welding certificate.
Ability to perform basic match such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals.
Ability to be certified in overhead crane, Jib crane and forklift operation.

Responsibilities

Assembles spider, field poles, armature cores and rotors, including stacking, shrink fitting, grinding, welding, filling, pressing and torqueing.
Sets up and operates various machining equipment to perform milling, drill, taping, cutting and precision grinding.
Sets up and operates hydraulic presses.
Stacks laminations, places followers, drives rivets, drives cage and damper bars, presses laminations.
Reads prints and routing information to determine sequence and method of manufacturing.
Uses fixtures as necessary.
Does charting, maintains inventories of shelf life materials in stacking area.
Works in other areas of the Lamination Team skills matrix, may work in press set up and operation.
Demonstrates a commitment to Continuous Improvement by identifying opportunities in day to day work.
Performs to ISO 9001 Quality Standards and abides to OSHA and EPA regulations.
