About The Position

The Diez Group Kansas City is a tier one manufacturing supplier of blanked material. We are looking for a Stacker-Press/Operator to join our team. Your position will focus on safe and efficient set-up, changeover, safe operation and troubleshooting of the press machines. We have first and second shift positions available. The Diez Group is a Hispanic owned minority business that believes in on time delivery of high quality products at a competitive price to its customers. Hourly Pay up to $21.50 per hour (based on experience). Overtime after 40 hours. Double time on Sunday after 40 hours. Shift differential for 2nd shift $.75 per hour.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and decipher blue prints and schematics.
  • Ability to make mathematical calculations in preparing product or setting up the machinery.
  • The ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with up to 20 pounds as the most frequent lift.
  • The ability to physically perform the requirements of the tasks assigned.
  • Must possess acceptable work history and attendance record.
  • Excellent coordination, focus and dedication to following safety protocols.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional crane operator certification a plus.
  • Ability to be licensed to operate powered industrial equipment (hilo, crane, manlift).

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand work instructions, handle material to and from work station and get work station and equipment ready for production.
  • Perform die changeovers and select correct materials to run.
  • Solve majority of problems if setup related.
  • Correct or seek support to correct any setup problems or tool problems preventing production of good parts.
  • Operate press to punch and form parts per specifications.
  • Adjust and tighten hold down bolts, dies, springs, and pins. Lubricate material and parts as required.
  • Complete all required and assigned paperwork.
  • Perform housekeeping activities daily as outlined by supervisor.
  • Comply with all quality checks to include first part and last part inspection.
  • Maintain quality standard, keep work station in order, report work shortages, and perform own rework.
