About The Position

Northern Hardwoods in Atlantic Mine, Michigan is hiring a 2nd Shift Stacker Lumber Lift Operator. Northern Hardwoods is an integrated hardwoods products company that manages the entire forest-to-products process, from harvesting timber to the production of hardwood lumber, pulpwood, and veneer logs in a State-Of-The-Art Hardwood Sawmill. The company prides itself on its one-of-a-kind white hard maple and has capabilities to Surface 2 Sides (S2S) all its products, along with Straight Line Rip One Edge and Rip to Width. Responsibilities

Loads and unloads stacker.
Loads and unloads trucks.
Transports sticker and green packs.
Inspect stack lilt, checks tires, oil, coolants, and mast operation.
Records pack tag numbers and destinations into computers.
Keeps lift clean and free of hazard.
Follows standard operation procedures.
Supply stickers to stacker when needed.
Performs all other duties assigned by Supervisor.
Builds and aligns lumber courses.
Sprays packs.
Inspect stickering.
Completes daily reports.
Records species, grade, footage, length, and width of lumber.
Cleans work area and keeps free of hazards.
Performs general maintenance such as tightening chains, changing filters, washing heaters, and greasing and oiling the stacker.
