You'll help us source the highest quality parts and services from around the globe while ensuring optimal cost and on-time delivery. You'll also contribute to establishing a robust supply chain so that we can continually produce the vehicles our customers want.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent technical / manufacturing aptitude
  • 5+ years' experience in one or more manufacturing processes: Casting, Machining, Stamping, Welding, Plastic/Rubber Molding, Brazing, Sintering, Automated/Manual Assembly Processes and Controls Automation programming
  • Ability to develop and present materials to leadership on short notice
  • Ability to lead resolution of manufacturing, quality, and/or capacity issues on-site with suppliers
  • Ability to travel in the US, Canada, and Mexico approximately 50% of the time

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science/ Engineering, or equivalent technical / manufacturing aptitude
  • Experience leading multiple assignments with demanding timelines
  • Manufacturing, maintenance, and quality operations experience

Responsibilities

  • Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure your suppliers exceed all corporate launch, quality, capacity, warranty metrics for battery assembly
  • Lead cross-functional decisions with Ford & Supplier leadership to drive resolution of open issues
  • Implement actions to ensure zero battery pack assembly losses from suppliers
  • Principal for on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations
  • Lead adherence to Ford standards (i.e.Q1)
  • Drive assessment & validation of manufacturing feasibility at identified supplier sites
  • Execute the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Quality Planning Process (APQP)
  • Use available data, metrics, and business plans to drive future sourcing decisions ensuring improved future quality
