The Quality Assurance Coordinator is a vital role within our Supportive Services for Veterans (SSVF) program, responsible for performing Quality Control and ensuring adherence to SSVF funding source requirements, regulations, policies, systems, and practices. The role involves highly responsible work focused on quality control reviews and compliance, emphasizing in-depth participant file reviews, regulatory adherence, and effective policy implementation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have experience in project management and/or quality assurance
  • Two years of experience with regulatory standards required
  • Valid VA driver's license for local and regional travel; must have access to a personal vehicle available to perform job functions
  • Leadership skills including setting and achieve goals, planning and facilitating meetings and group processes, conflict resolution skills, tact/diplomacy in stressful situations
  • Management experience, including analytical skills to successfully monitor and manage program budgets and understand contractual reporting requirements
  • Personnel management and development plus program development experience
  • Good administrative skills, including oral/written communication, active listening skills, quality control practices, accuracy and thoroughness

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience with the SSVF program preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough and regular quality control reviews, including detailed participant file audits and program operation reviews to ensure compliance with SSVF funding sources and SupportWorks regulations.
  • Complete detailed checklists for each file review and confirm error rectification.
  • Conduct daily audits on direct tenant assistance requests and report any deficiencies immediately.
  • Regularly reassess program standards and procedures to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of Quality Control reviews.
  • Develop and conduct compliance-related training sessions and work plans for staff, emphasizing documentation and quality control to ensure policy adherence.
  • Perform regular audits with a specific focus on internal processes, identify compliance risks, and areas needing improvement and monitor program activities for continuous compliance.
  • Prepare for and participate in audits conducted by third-party agencies and coordinate the correction of any identified audit finding and deficiencies.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of compliance activities, including quality control reviews, audit findings, and corrective actions.
