About The Position

The SSE Operator at FlexSteel USA is responsible for operating and supporting the operation of production equipment in the manufacturing of flexible pipe. Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Forklift Operator Certification and Crane Operator Certification are required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• At least one year of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanics, metal forming, and extrusion processes is preferred.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Effective communication skills for speaking before groups.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned production equipment and machinery to produce flexible pipe.
• Participate in a structured on-the-job training program to develop basic skills.
• Assist the Lead Operator in the setup and operation of production equipment.
• Inspect work in progress and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work center and material storage areas.
• Complete required documentation and records as per procedures.
• Assist in analyzing and resolving line operation problems.
• Load materials into machines for production runs and maintain material traceability.
• Coordinate activities associated with the work center under guidance from supervisors.
