About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and independent software engineer to join our SMM Engineering team for a specific project engagement relating to Production Engineering/Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). This role requires a proven track record of successful project execution, the ability to triage and resolve complex system issues, and the capacity to work autonomously while collaborating with the SMM Engineering team as needed. The engagement is project-based, focused on achieving specific, measurable deliverables related to SRE.

Requirements

• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java or Python, C++ is a plus
• Operating Systems: Experience with Linux operating system internals.
• Networking: Strong understanding of networking concepts.
• Version Control: Experience with modern version control systems (e.g., Git).
• SRE/DevOps Tools: Familiarity with tools for monitoring, logging, and CI/CD (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Jenkins, GitLab CI) is highly beneficial given the role's focus on automation, monitoring, and release management.

Responsibilities

• System Reliability & Automation: Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality solutions, automation scripts, and tools to enhance the stability, performance, and efficiency of SMM electronic trading systems. This includes a strong propensity to automate manual tasks.
• Deployment & Release Management: Contribute to the management of the release and deployment lifecycle for SMM applications, ensuring smooth and reliable rollouts.
• Technical Collaboration: Partner with software and infrastructure owners to address software issues and provide system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning input
• Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain clear, concise technical documentation for SRE solutions, automation, and operational procedures. Provide regular progress updates to SMM Engineering leads and trading stakeholders.
