About The Position

Infosys is seeking a SRE Engineer - The position will primarily be responsible for leading the maintenance and support on custom IT applications. The selected candidate should have good technical knowledge, analytical ability, good communication and previous support experience in managing the support and management projects. Candidate should have experience of leading the team and have good understanding of Incident and Problem management. Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Overland Park, Kansas or Bellevue, WA or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require relocation and or travel to project locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
  • At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.
  • SRE Mindset in Production support.
  • Skilled in using different monitoring & observability tools to track system performance.
  • Experience in Splunk, AppDynamics, DB, Network, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes.
  • Experience in APM, NMON, Wireshark usage and analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Grafana, RedMetrics, 1000Eyes.
  • Knowledge of VMs, Load balancers, Firewalls, API Gateways.
  • Knowledge of Containerization, Docker, AWS, PCF, GCP, ServiceNow.
  • Experience in UEM and synthetic monitoring tools.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure, including command-line tools and system internals.
  • Understanding of network protocols, configurations, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with cloud architecture and services.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment processes and tools.
  • Experience with triaging issues with application code (Java, Python).
  • Familiarity in troubleshooting issues with traditional and NoSQL databases.
  • Skills in using monitoring tools to track system performance and detect issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with Director/Sr. Director and above.
  • Flexibility to handle changing priorities and technologies.
  • Precision in managing configurations and deployments to avoid errors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the maintenance and support on custom IT applications.
  • Proactive issue identification using observability tools.
  • Diagnose complex issues and actively drive incident calls working with technical, product SMEs, and Tier 2 SREs.
  • Coordinate all activities required to lead incident triage in compliance with SLAs and OLAs.
  • Manage production support activities including proactive identification of issues leveraging observability tools.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams.
