About The Position

The Sr. Workforce Effectiveness Data Analyst at Healthfirst is responsible for leveraging analytical tools to generate insights that support key decisions made by department leadership. This role involves developing repeatable analytics, designing data models and dashboards, and executing complex algorithms to analyze large datasets. The analyst will also work closely with IT and business teams to identify trends, improve business processes, and communicate findings effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming skills.
  • Experience with MS Office suite, including Access, Excel, and Word.
  • Expertise in data analysis and query tools such as SQL.
  • Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, Amazon Redshift, or similar tools.
  • Applied statistics skills, including distributions and regression.
  • Ability to run queries from a data warehouse.
  • Expertise in implementing audit techniques.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Sciences, Engineering, Business Analytics, or similar.
  • Experience with analytical programming techniques such as Python and R.
  • Experience with AWS and its analytical solutions.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop and AWS Kinesis.
  • Experience developing innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and independent decision-making ability.
  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Experience communicating technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of modern machine learning algorithms and statistical methods.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage analytical tools to generate insights for department leadership.
  • Develop repeatable analytics for department and executive leadership.
  • Create preventative and detective controls for business processes.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of data models and dashboards.
  • Assist in developing and executing complex algorithms and predictive models.
  • Determine analytical approaches to evaluate scenarios and outcomes.
  • Make recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Develop ETL processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Perform statistical analysis to quantify model limitations.
  • Improve metrics that evaluate department performance.
  • Identify opportunities for business process improvements using data.
  • Serve as a trusted contact for internal departments and present results confidently.
  • Analyze and reconcile premium revenue and remittance status.
  • Create detailed documentation reports to support department processes.
  • Anticipate and solve strategic business problems with broad impact.
  • Communicate insights gained from big data analysis.
  • Transfer knowledge to the implementation team.
  • Partner with IT and business teams to develop algorithms and identify trends.
