About The Position

PURPOSE STATEMENT: The Senior HRIS Analyst will partner with HR, Payroll, Operations, Finance, and IT to strategically design, configure, and support digital HR solutions that drive operational excellence. Responsible for configuring, optimizing, and supporting core Workday functional areas, with emphasis on Absence, Time Tracking, Compensation, Peakon, and workflow-related enhancements. As one of the primary Workday support contacts, this role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to drive process improvements, resolve system issues, and deliver high-quality technical solutions across Summit. This role will be fully in-office in Franklin, TN.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field preferred. Associates degree required.
  • Minimum five years’ experience of hands-on Workday configuration and system administration experience. Seven or more years preferred.
  • Strong functional expertise across Absence, Time Tracking, Compensation, Peakon (Engagement, Onboarding, Exit etc.), Business Process configuration, Security, reporting, and calculated fields.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or configuring: – Compensation plans (salary, bonus, merit) – Time calculations, time entry rules, and schedule/timecard alignment – Shift differential rules and related calculations – Absence plans and return-from-leave workflows – Peakon onboarding, exit, and engagement programs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for building efficient, scalable, and compliant HR processes.
  • Experience leading multi-phase HRIS projects including requirements gathering, design, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
  • Intermediate/advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain system concepts clearly to end users and leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a healthcare or multi-facility environment is a plus.
  • Experience with Workday Benefits, Payroll, or Integrations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead configuration, enhancement, and support of Workday functional areas including Absence, Time Tracking, Compensation, Peakon, and related Business Processes.
  • Execute new system enhancements including requirements gathering, documentation, configuration, testing, training, and deployment.
  • Serve as a primary Workday support expert, providing timely ticket resolution and proactive support to HR, Payroll, Operations, and other stakeholders.
  • Analyze system issues, perform root-cause analysis, propose long-term solutions, and monitor impacts across reporting, security, and downstream systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to assess business needs, evaluate Workday capabilities, and recommend scalable process improvements.
  • Build and maintain custom reports and calculated fields, supporting audits, compliance, workforce insights, and operational reporting.
  • Maintain system data integrity, ensure adherence to privacy/security requirements, and support Workday release testing and adoption.
  • Provide after-hours and weekend on call support as necessary.
