About The Position

The Sr WiFi Design Engineer will be responsible for planning designs and projects to deliver excellent quality of services for several years to come. This role involves auditing network designs for over-design or under-design, properly scoping requirements for projects, and engaging with other members outside of the engineering department. The engineer will also train and work with operational level staff members, document network designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures, and perform other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Science in Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science
• 7+ years' experience in networking for Service Provider or medium-to-large Enterprises, with an emphasis on WiFi
• Strong Knowledge of Wifi design (CWDA, CWNA, RCNA a plus)
• Excellent understanding of Wireless Design Tools such as Hamina, iBwave, Ekahau and Air Magnet

Nice To Haves

• Certified Wireless Design Professional
• Certified Wireless Analysis Professional
• Experience with Ruckus Smartzone/Ruckus Zone Director/Ruckus Cloud
• Experience in the telecommunication industry or with an ISP

Responsibilities

• Plan for designs/projects to deliver excellent quality of services for several years to come

• Expertise in wireless protocols (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be), RF principles, Auth methods, encryption, and spectrum management
• Document network designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures
• Other duties as required or assigned
