The position involves performing all warehouse receiving and shipping activities, including rack picking, stock and LTL packing, bulk receiving, and putting away supplier/customer orders and intercompany transfers. Responsibilities include emptying crates of various sizes and weights, cutting hoses for orders ranging from 10 feet to 100 feet, customer return receiving, inventory management, unloading trucks, and conducting safety/operational inspections of power tools and mobile equipment. The role also requires kit component picking and assembly, making custom pallets or crates, and loading and unloading trucks using various equipment. Operators will use lift trucks (order picker, reach truck, and stand-up) to load and unload racks up to 20 ft. in height. The position requires judgment and knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting of purchase orders and part replacements, resolving issues with pick orders, and escalating unresolved problems to the Inventory Control Clerk or supervisor. Additionally, operators will use material control system devices, operate power tools and machines as required, move materials throughout the warehouse, check the quality of vendor-supplied or manufactured parts, and maintain basic housekeeping of the work area. The role also involves using computer software (ADSI) to meter outbound parcel and LTL freight and performing other duties as assigned.
