About The Position

The Sr. Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day activities oversight of all tasks associated with the receipt, storage, shipment of product/materials used in the warehouse of an oilfield remanufacture facility. This role will report to the Equipment (Inventory) Manager. The position requires the person to work in both an office and remanufacture warehouse facility environment, with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. The Sr. Warehouse Assistant must work closely with others and under deadlines including time-sensitive response situations and be willing to work extended schedules that will include working days, and occasionally nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in Inventory, shop, or general warehouse environment.
• Experience operating material handling equipment, such as forklift and crane.
• Live within 1 hour driving distance of the facility.
• Experience in the Oil and Gas industry with a heavy focus on MWD.
• Ability to safely lift and carry 50 pounds independently.
• Ability to communicate effectively with department representatives and management, both verbally and in writing.
• Able to work effectively with others in a team-based environment to accomplish company goals and to identify and resolve shipping and receiving issues.
• Ability to operate hydraulic lift trucks, forklift, and other material handling equipment.
• Must have basic knowledge in Excel to complete quarterly physical inventory audits.
• Must train new employees in all areas of the inventory department.
• Strong working knowledge of MWD, processes and procedures.
• Willing to work extended schedules that may include days or nights, as well as weekends and holidays in different weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision under time-sensitive deadlines while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor when adversity and multiple initiatives/priorities are encountered.
• Must be very detail-oriented and thorough.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year Oracle and/or a Warehouse Management System experience.
• Forklift Certification.
• Ability to travel as needed to other offices, occasionally requiring extended travel to remote locations and/or overnight stay(s) outside normal office area.
• Experience with MWD kit boxes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accuracy, perform cycle counts and print inventory reports in MSD Shared Files / Oracle.
• Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
• Package and prepare materials for shipments and arrange or issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
• Deliver or route materials to departments using hand truck, forklifts, or sorting bins.
• Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
• Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped.
• Manage the process of unloading and loading trailers, picking up, packing, and shipping stock, tracking, and counting material and placing materials in proper locations.
• Utilize the established tools, equipment and technologies required to initiate or complete transactions related to in and outbound processes within the warehouse in Oracle.
• Driving forklifts, including narrow aisle reach.
• Maintain a well-organized and clean work environment.
• Ensure that safety procedures are followed in accordance with established regulations e.g. OSHA, PPE, etc.
• Other various tasks as required.
• Building out MWD kit box inventory to prepare for field use.
