About The Position

The Sr. Vice President, Marketing is responsible for promoting and strengthening the brands of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, aligning marketing strategies with financial objectives, and enhancing the overall guest experience. This role oversees all marketing functions, including Player Development, Promotions, and Brand Marketing, while collaborating with various departments to ensure cohesive marketing and communication initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required; Master's degree is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of fourteen (14) years of experience in consumer marketing is required.
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years supervisory experience in the gaming/hospitality industry is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in large-scale multi-property gaming/casino operations is essential.
  • Must be culturally competent and effective in a multi-cultural environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees marketing strategic direction and operational execution, establishing strategic marketing plans to ensure revenue generation and profit growth.
  • Develops close working relationships with other marketing departments and operational leaders to execute strategies that meet marketing objectives.
  • Prepares the marketing strategic plan and tactics to adapt to changing market conditions, creating innovative product messages that differentiate the property.
  • Monitors existing operations and shares best practices with senior leaders for optimization.
  • Innovates to provide a best-in-class guest experience through technology and process improvements.
  • Manages the annual marketing budgets and related expenses to achieve financial objectives.
  • Leads a team in developing promotions and events that deliver acceptable ROI, championing service levels across guest touchpoints.
  • Provides support for new operations across all business enterprises during pre-opening and opening phases.
  • Conducts market research studies and guest focus groups to provide insights and create execution strategies.
  • Inspires and develops marketing team members' professional growth.
  • Reviews and recommends changes to internal controls related to marketing operations, evaluating policies for effectiveness.
