About The Position

The Sr. Validation/Application Engineer will be responsible for hands-on validation and debugging of power integrated circuits, engaging with customers to understand their specific use cases and translating them into product specifications. The role involves working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver customer solutions, participating in design-in efforts, and creating technical documentation to promote product awareness. The position requires constant communication with customers, necessitating travel within the US, Europe, and Asia.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or higher.
• 10+ years of experience in the field.
• Fundamentals in electronics in power and analog domains.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Proficiency in software for complete systems understanding and design-in tool development (e.g., Python, C, LabVIEW, C#).
• Excellent hands-on lab and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of PCB Design Tools.
• Experience with Lab Tools such as Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, Time Analyzers, Temperature Chambers, and Thermostreams.
• Experience with Isolation products or Power products.
• Experience with EMC/EMI design compliance.
• Experience with Automotive products.

Responsibilities

• Hands on Validation (silicon bench evaluation) and drive items related to customer-specific use cases and all day-to-day lab activities related to debugging and validation of Power integrated circuits.
• Engage in customer activities for the development of new products and translate customer specific use cases into product specifications.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver to customers while acting as the customer advocate.
• Participate in design-in efforts for assigned released products and implement customer design-in support.
• Provide innovative, practical, and timely solutions to customer issues.
• Create technical Datasheets, Application Notes, Circuits from The Lab, videos, technical seminars/webinars, and trade press articles.
• Develop relationships with Field Application Engineers, Sales Engineers, and distributors through training material creation and delivery.
• Understand customer system issues to define value-added solutions and contribute to strategies for application segments.
• Travel within the US as well as Europe and Asia for customer communication.
