About The Position

As Sr. UX Designer I, you'll apply user-centered design principles to improve the workflow, expand the functionality, and enhance the visual appeal of websites and mobile apps. You will also work fearlessly with clients, users, and team members to build the best products possible. The ideal candidate will be disciplined in branding and design experience for responsive web, typography, color theory, and have an eye for modern design. Additionally, your understanding of digital design is fluid, flexible, and adaptive for Web design UI. Lastly, the ideal candidate is passionate about creating modern, usable, and inspiring interfaces. Having excellent communication and collaboration skills is a must.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance or higher.
• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or similar concentration.
• 5-7 years of experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies.
• Experience gathering requirements from users and stakeholders, defines information architecture, creates sample user personas, and documents user workflow.
• Experience performing user research and usability testing and facilitates focus groups.
• Experience translating information into UIs and Interactions.
• Understanding of common software development and agile development practices.
• Experience creating User Stories while working with business analysts to develop acceptance criteria.
• Familiarity with various graphic design software packages.
• Experience designing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, as well as visual design comps.
• Knowledge of visual design and wireframing/prototyping tools.
• Working knowledge of design patterns and pattern libraries.
• Experience with Section 508 compliance.

Responsibilities

• Work with an open and motivated team designing digital experiences that solve agency missions.
• Own the Interface and Interaction Design - leading user experience strategy, improvement assessments, information architecture, wireframes, and user research activities.
• Strategize about how to integrate web, mobile, data, and emerging platforms into seamlessly interconnected ecosystems.
• Take part in the Agile process, grooming different solutions to challenges.
