About The Position

- Evaluate, analyze and price risks associated with excess auto liability coverage through a wholesale broker distribution plant. Key Accountabilities/Deliverables: Determines the acceptability, quality and profitability of new and existing business based on company underwriting guidelines and objectives. Develop insurance proposals, process binders, approve endorsements, and obtain required underwriting approvals where needed Ensure underwriting and service standards are met on assigned accounts Travel to conduct broker marketing meetings and attend industry events as determined by management Performs related duties as required under Underwriting Guidelines and as requested to include report preparation, presentations, and special projects to assist the excess liability team Effectively communicate and collaborate with other members of the team to broaden knowledge of the product line and/or technical knowledge of pricing. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of related primary trucking liability and/or excess underwriting experience preferred; Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of standard insurance concepts, practices and procedures
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
