The position involves collaborating with engineers and product managers to gather user requirements and create user-centered designs. The designer will be responsible for understanding business requirements, the voice of the customer, user journeys, customer feedback, and usability findings to create a cohesive style guide that ensures a consistent design language across the product. Additionally, the role includes creating prototypes, wireframes, and mock-ups to demonstrate the functioning and layout of the product, conducting usability testing to identify gaps in design, and staying current with new UI/UX developments and techniques. The designer will also test applications for usability in partnership with stakeholders and users, and work within an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in ceremonies and processes that contribute to continual improvement. The designer will be part of a development team that may include other technical professionals, subject matter experts, project stakeholders, and executive leadership.
