The position involves collaborating with engineers and product managers to gather user requirements and create user-centered designs. The designer will be responsible for understanding business requirements, the voice of the customer, user journeys, customer feedback, and usability findings to create a cohesive style guide that ensures a consistent design language across the product. Additionally, the role includes creating prototypes, wireframes, and mock-ups to demonstrate the functioning and layout of the product, conducting usability testing to identify gaps in design, and staying current with new UI/UX developments and techniques. The designer will also test applications for usability in partnership with stakeholders and users, and work within an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in ceremonies and processes that contribute to continual improvement. The designer will be part of a development team that may include other technical professionals, subject matter experts, project stakeholders, and executive leadership.

  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to gather user requirements

  • Create a cohesive style guide to ensure consistent design language is followed across the product

  • Stay current with new UI/UX developments and techniques
  • Test applications for usability, in partnership with stakeholders and users
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and processes (daily stand-ups, code reviews, sprint retrospectives, etc.)
  • Work on a development team which may include other technical professionals, subject matter experts, project stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Experience with prototyping tools like InVision, Axure, Framer, Principle, and Figma
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Abstract
