About The Position
The Sr Transmission Planning Engineer will conduct feasibility studies and identify possible points of interconnection at various voltage levels including 765, 500, 345, 138, and 69 kV stations. The role involves conducting initial load flow analysis using PSSE 32 to determine if system upgrades are needed, such as line re-conductoring, sag studies, and transformer upgrades. Additionally, the engineer will perform initial short circuit analysis using CAPE one-liner to assess if any circuit breakers are over duty and will conduct independent analysis. The position also requires completing submittal forms and generating reports/estimates for each possible connection option, as well as utilizing PSSE MUST to conduct studies.
