Under general supervision, responsible for delivering training to agency personnel in the use of Northland/Northfield systems and processes. Works collaboratively within the organization to assess and identify agency training needs for technical, process, and capabilities training. Coordinate system set-up/change requests to meet agency needs. May mentor/coach new or less experienced staff.

  • Works with regional contacts to assess and identify agency training needs for technical, process and potentially capabilities training.
  • Mentor/coach new and existing staff.
  • Develops automation training strategy and plans for assigned agencies.
  • Understands specific industry characteristics of agencies and proposes automation solutions to match those business models.
  • Partners with field sales staff to develop training schedules.
  • Delivers training to assigned agency personnel in use of Travelers automation tools and processes.
  • Handles complex agency training situations and needs.
  • Works with agency personnel to implement effective methods of incorporating automation into agency workflow.
  • Develops and maintains highly effective relationships with agency and Travelers personnel.
  • Monitors effectiveness of training, reviewing utilization rates and internal operating efficiencies.
  • Makes recommendations and implement training related strategies for improvement in meeting regional production goals.
  • Works collaboratively with other business areas to remove roadblocks and admin obstacles.
  • Contributes to field sales efforts by potentially participating in agency visitations and point-of-sales presentations.
  • Takes lead role in testing new automation products and functions.
  • Maintains superior knowledge of competitor automation capabilities.
  • Responds to questions from agents on automation issues.
  • May participate in local vendor or user groups as required.
  • Develops and maintains strong understanding of Travelers products including products outside of primary business line.
  • Supports special Agency Automation projects as requested.
  • May serve as a floater resource to other region teams as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • BS Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with broad spectrum of systems/ automation applications.
  • Training experience.
  • Agency automation training experience.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong influencing skills.
  • Strong technical problem/issue solving skills.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Strong Knowledge of Travelers products.
  • Extensive knowledge of Travelers automation tools.
  • Strong knowledge of adult educational training and methodology.
  • Demonstrated mastery of a wide range of adult education training strategies and methods.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Seasoned agency automation training role.
  • Most senior individual contributor.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • CPT designation (Certified Professional Trainer) desired.
  • May require CIC designation where required for business.
