About The Position

The Industrial Minerals Trader is responsible for sourcing and selling various minerals products.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of sales experience in Industrial Minerals or Industrial Commodities
  • Strong understanding of Industrial Minerals market, pricing, and supply chains
  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships and close deals
  • CRM experience preferred (Salesforce or similar)

Responsibilities

  • Manages relationships with key stakeholders including customers, suppliers, internal operations, and senior management
  • Builds and expanding a strong network of relationships with customers and global suppliers
  • Negotiates logistics and financing with suppliers
  • Identifies new ways to grow the business while developing new stakeholder relationships and refine overarching market strategy
  • Formulates commercial proposals to counterparts taking into consideration competitors, market dynamics, company positioning, and the short/long term strategy
  • Analyzes macro and micro market data to make commercial decisions
  • Communicates market information and updates to peers and trading team
  • Works with operations team to execute orders and settle customer disputes
  • Travels to customers, suppliers, and industry functions (20-40%)
  • Ensure operations conform with technical, internal, legal, and federal requirements
  • This is a position that works directly on or around motor vehicle equipment.
