In this role, you will have a significant impact on the management of international trade compliance for our partner's operations. Your expertise will guide compliance with governmental regulations while collaborating with various departments and external agencies. You will be responsible for ensuring that all import and export activities are conducted according to legal standards. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in international trade compliance regulations.
  • Experience with FDA regulations in health care, specifically medical devices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams and communicate effectively.
  • Good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Experience with global classification software for trade compliance.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new compliance areas.

Nice To Haves

  • Customs Brokers License is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Customs and Trade Compliance team in developing and executing an international trade compliance program.
  • Manage US / CA customs and trade compliance for both import and export operations.
  • Ensure compliance of import/export shipments with governmental regulations.
  • Oversee the Temporary Importation Under Bond (TIB) process.
  • Manage the FDA Import for Export program, ensuring compliance throughout the process.
  • Conduct root cause analysis based on audit findings and implement necessary actions.
  • Identify areas for improving customs and trade compliance processes.
  • Manage compliance recordkeeping and contribute to training activities.
  • Support the development of standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Facilitate the assignment and review of Harmonized Tariff Codes (HTS).
