We're seeking an Sr. Test System Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. Moog Space and Defense Group is projecting significant growth driven by high levels of U.S. Department of Defense growth. The East Aurora, NY Hypersonic Vehicle Systems (HVS) Team supplies a variety of complex integrated guidance, navigation, and control (iGNC) systems that can include Electro-Mechanical Actuation Systems, Thrust Vector Control Systems, Thermal Batteries, Attitude Control Systems, and a Multi-Effector Controller for hypersonic vehicles. This specific role will focus on the hardware in the loop (HWIL) testing in our Huntsville Alabama facility and support our programs through testing, validation, verification, and system architecture as well as technology development, qualification, and production insertion. The position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance and access to U.S. export-controlled information. The selected candidate will support all HWIL testing in Huntsville, and remotely (with some travel) support testing needs (test plans, verification, validation, testing, etc.) and supporting system architecture (CAMEO/MBSE) and controls tuning. This will include determining the customer's needs, Moog product architecture, analysis approaches and project management processes (cost and schedule). They will also be expected to learn the product development process and support proposals and development programs.
