About The Position

The company combines the patented technology of metamaterials with powerful software to create a radar sensor with unprecedented performance at commercial price points. Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM). Echodyne is seeking a Sr. Test Engineer to join our fast-growing team!

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, QA engineering, or test engineering roles
  • Strong experience validating feature-level behavior and cross-component workflows
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and test design techniques
  • Experience with test automation, including writing and maintaining automated tests (Python preferred)
  • Experience working in environments with hardware and software dependencies
  • Practical knowledge of Linux environments, Git workflows, and CI/CD concepts
  • Understanding of software development practices, defect investigation, and root cause analysis

Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and maintain feature-level and end-to-end software test scenarios for complex products
  • Analyze product requirements and architecture to define test strategies, coverage, and acceptance criteria
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test reports; manage defects through resolution
  • Perform manual and exploratory testing to identify product risks, edge cases, and failure modes
  • Build and maintain automated tests where they provide clear value, contributing to existing frameworks
  • Collaborate with software, firmware, and product teams to improve testability and overall quality
  • Support test environments, tools, and test execution across projects and releases
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote strong testing practices and a quality-first mindset
