We are currently seeking a Sr Test Automation Engineer - Guidewire (FTE - Remote) to join our team in Glendale, Arizona (US-AZ), United States (US).

Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of strong test automation experience across web and API layers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Rest Assured, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong understanding of JSON, XML, and data-driven automation techniques.
  • Experience with version control tools (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket).
  • Skilled in reporting and analytics using Allure, Extent Reports, and Jenkins dashboards.
  • Familiarity with Docker, AWS, or Azure for cloud-based testing and execution environments.
  • Experience in P&C Insurance, especially Auto and Home lines.
  • Strong exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Extensive knowledge in Earnix, AWS Services, Guidewire Cloud Console, Guidewire Product Model, Jutro platform, and GT tool stack.
  • Experience in Snowflake Data Migration validation and API Testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Guidewire Ace Certified - with hands-on testing experience in PolicyCenter and BillingCenter.
  • Experience in Downstream data validations.
  • Familiarity with performance and security testing frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Exposure to test management and traceability tools (Jira, Xray, Confluence).
  • Passion for automation, continuous integration, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks for web and API layers using Selenium with Java and TestNG.
  • Automate functional, regression, and smoke test cases for insurance applications including Policy, Billing, Claims, and Portals.
  • Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps) to support continuous testing and deployment.
  • Develop data-driven, keyword-driven, and hybrid test automation frameworks using best practices such as Page Object Model (POM).
  • Perform API automation using Rest Assured, Postman, or Swagger.
  • Execute Snowflake data migration validation and API testing activities across cloud-based insurance systems.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to implement shift-left testing in Agile sprints.
  • Participate in performance, security, and accessibility testing as needed.
  • Analyze test automation failures, perform root cause analysis, and enhance framework stability.
  • Manage test repositories, source control (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket), and ensure traceability via Jira, Xray, and Confluence.
  • Generate test execution reports and dashboards using Allure, Extent Reports, and Jenkins dashboards.
  • Actively engage in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Demonstrate an ownership mindset, collaborating closely with technical and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery.
