About The Position

What Product Test & Calibration contributes to Cardinal Health Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment. Product Test & Calibration sets up, aligns, monitors, and/or calibrates production equipment. Assists and may perform maintenance on machines and cleans up minor chemical spills in assigned area as well as glassware, ovens, and other equipment. Job Summary The Sr Technician Product Test & Calibration is responsible for providing preventative maintenance as well as technical support to improve the efficiency of the facilities’ equipment, minimize the downtime due to equipment failure by, keep records and data bases updated, perform general repairs and installations, and up keeping the buildings and equipment in the plant. This position also assists in training.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience, preferred
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift.
  • Comfort working with heights regularly.
  • Applies knowledge and company policies to complete a variety of tasks
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility
  • Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
  • Works on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issues
  • May assist in recommendation of processes on new assignments
  • Adheres to all quality guidelines
  • Works with limited supervision
  • Work occasionally involves review of output by work lead or supervisor
  • May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and perform unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and modifications on assigned equipment as needed and document changes as required by operating procedures.
  • Assist in the maintenance of equipment and provide instruction to Maintenance personnel during the process.
  • Provide technical assistance as requested and arrange for support if necessary.
  • Ensure proper set-up of facilities equipment according to procedures and product specifications at the completion of assigned tasks.
  • Observe plant regulations and use personal protective equipment as required.
  • Transport hazardous waste to accumulation areas.
  • Be on a Call In/On Call status when needed.
