The Surveillance Logistics team is seeking a Senior Technician, Logistics to serve on the Pack/Ship team onsite in McKinney, TX.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 1 year of warehouse, shipping-related work experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • General industry experience and understanding of protocol in a defense company, including work with Government Furnished Material
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Defense Transportation Regulations
  • Import/Export Compliance experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational and time management skills
  • Possess a solid reputation for safety, professionalism, and ethical responsibility
  • Experience handling products safely and carefully
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and execute written shipping instructions
  • Examine packed material labels for accuracy
  • Prepare shipping documents and label materials for shipping
  • Load trucks/moving material on the dock using material handling equipment such as powered industrial trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks which will require the ability to lift up to 28 lbs.
  • Coordinate and monitor workflow, assisting in prioritizing activities in assigned areas to improve upon service level commitment
  • Schedule carrier pick-ups via the Transportation Management System (TMS)
  • Work in a high tempo, high stress customer service environment
  • Position will (occasionally) require working additional hours and Saturdays
  • Position will require ability to obtain 49CFR and IATA HAZMAT certifications
  • Position will require the ability to obtain a Powered Industrial Truck operating certification
