About The Position

Senior Technician ensures efficient material flow to support manufacturing and distribution. This role involves inventory management, material planning, and compliance with regulatory requirements while troubleshooting supply chain issues.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in materials management, inventory control, or supply chain operations in a GMP-regulated industry.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and electronic batch records.
• Strong understanding of GMP, GDP, and regulatory compliance for material handling in biotech or pharmaceutical environments.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with production, quality, and procurement teams.
• Working knowledge of software such as MS Outlook, Access, Excel and other MS Office products; ERP system experience is strongly preferred.
• Meticulous attention to detail and record keeping is essential.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to wear protective clothing (goggles, face shield, surgical mask, cap, gloves and scrubs).
• The employee may be exposed to biohazards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the movement of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods to support production schedules.
• Maintain material traceability and ensure proper documentation of lot numbers, expiration dates, and chain of custody.
• Assist with supplier communication and procurement coordination to ensure timely material availability.
• Perform routine cycle counts and investigate discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure materials meet environmental and storage requirements (e.g., cold chain logistics, hazardous material handling).
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and compliance records.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance inventory accuracy and material flow.
• Train and mentor Level 1 associates on GMP-compliant material handling procedures.
• Responsible for Operations portion of the Donor Allocation Pathway program. Picking, labeling, and shipment of human tissue.
