About The Position

As a Sr. Technician II in Instrumentation & Controls, you will play a crucial role within the PO&T team by performing both corrective and preventative calibrations on a variety of manufacturing, facility, and laboratory analytical instruments. Your expertise will support manufacturing and laboratory personnel in maintaining the functionality and accuracy of critical equipment, ensuring seamless operations. You will often collaborate with engineering and validation teams to address equipment failures and support validation activities. By authoring changes to procedures and job plans, you will help refine our processes and maintain our high standards. This role is vital in minimizing downtime, enhancing productivity, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations, thereby supporting the overall business objectives.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school with an emphasis in Electronics/Instrumentation.
  • A minimum of 3 years of related experience and/or training in instrumentation and controls.
  • Basic understanding of pharmaceutical/biotech cGMP requirements.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in mechanical and tight spaces, climb ladders, and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience in using calibration software such as Infor 10 EAM is preferred but not required.

  • Experience with Infor 10 EAM calibration software.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for complex equipment and instrumentation issues.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled calibrations for all manufacturing and laboratory functions with precision and accuracy.
  • Conduct unscheduled corrective calibrations and repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Install new instrumentation, providing engineering support and troubleshooting complex equipment issues.
  • Investigate equipment failures and provide validation support as needed.
  • Author changes to procedures, job plans, and LOTO safety forms to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate maintenance and calibration activities with manufacturing and laboratory supervisors to ensure alignment.
  • Manage routine decision-making processes, such as assessing instrument suitability and recommending replacements.
  • Participate in after-hour, on-call support on a rotating basis to ensure continuous operations.
  • Work in classified clean areas, adhering to gowning protocols and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with equipment maintenance teams for shared activities and improvements.
