Huber AgroSolutions (HAS) seeks a Sr. Technical Support & Training Manager to lead the technical support team, support specialty crop field trials, develop technical reports, and provide training on our product portfolio. The ideal candidate will have expertise in agronomy, plant nutrition, and agricultural markets, with strong communication and analytical skills. He /she will closely co-operate with product management, innovation and sales team on defining yearly objectives.

  • Leads the technical team for the Americas market for HAS and its GTM brands providing technical product support to sales teams and customers.
  • Own the knowledge of the agronomic applications of Huber AgroSolutions products in the Americas. Identify gaps, deliver training sessions and create educational materials for internal teams, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Build annual training programs and prepare teaching plans, with structured learning experiences.
  • Oversee field trials for existing and new products, including trial design, evaluation, and analysis. Manage budget for trials/demos and travel for technical support team.
  • Collaborate with universities/research centers to conduct trials and report results.
  • Prepare regular updates on trial progress and results for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing product positioning for various crops.
  • Act as a product specialist during client/distributor presentations.
  • Collaboration with the sales team on market research and competitor analysis.
  • Serves as a domain specialist to all regional sales teams in areas such as adjuvants, biologicals, biostimulants etc.
  • Lead investigations of product performance complaints and conduct root cause analyses.
  • Provide support for key customers representing large turnover.
  • Share field insights with the Global Innovation Team and Product Management.
  • Developing comprehensive product application plans, tailored by both crop and customer.
  • Support pre-launch activities by participating in late-stage product development tests.
  • Collaborate and lead regional agronomists and create a highly effective technical support organization.
  • Build effective partnerships with all Regional and Global platform stakeholders, subject matter experts, and external experts.
  • Regular communication to Commercial Directors; General Manager, Americas and Global Marketing Director on projects, goals and challenges.
  • Master's degree in Agronomy, Biology, Crop Science, or related fields required. PhD preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in agriculture or agronomic roles with at least five years leading a large regional technical support / agronomy team across the US.
  • Demonstrated competency in establishing and implementing product trials, collect, elaborate and summarize results.
  • Recognizes specific interactions between cultivation environment, farming practices and inputs on crop performance and applies this understanding to local climate conditions to provide clear product guidance to growers and commercial teams.
  • Ability to work effectively across numerous cultures resulting in strong and collaborative relationships.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to adapt to various audiences including employees, customers and management.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical problems in different markets and determine the most important factors required to achieve success.
