About The Position

We are looking for a Sr Technical Project Manager to embed themselves within our established Product Innovation Team of engineers, designers and researchers whereby they own the overall success of multiple front-end exploratory and back-end technical roadmap projects with a focus on scope definition, global communication (English & Chinese), cost and schedule development, ultimately moving projects into the NPD cycle for commercialization.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of direct Product Development or Program management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or business
  • Experience desired in some combination of engineering/marketing, new product development or program management (Consumer Goods Industry Preferred)
  • Proven track record of managing several high-visibility, technical, cross functional projects simultaneously (Consumer Goods Industry preferred).
  • Fast learner that can quickly synthesize ideas, information, and options into a strategy, plan, or response and effectively communicate it.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional team leadership & misalignment resolution
  • Advanced experienced with MS Project (or similar), Excel, Jira and Visio.
  • Presentation skills – Must be proficient with PowerPoint and be comfortable developing and presenting to large groups including executive management either in person or over MS Teams.
  • Independent and proactive, able to move projects forward without waiting for perfect conditions.
  • Thrives in ambiguity, seeing opportunity rather than obstacles when faced with a challenge.
  • Resilient, proactive, and solution-oriented. Thrives in ever-changing environments and competing priorities with a can-do attitude
  • Eagerness to grow both the company and the TPM organization
  • Clear and compelling communicator who can bring stakeholders together around progress with full transparency.
  • Experience working with international teams and having high cultural sensitivity and awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable to deliver all elements of the program including product performance KPI’s, cost, and timeline, from product ideation to mass production and commercialization.
  • Identify program risks, develop mitigation/contingency plans and track progress and pivot, when necessary, to keep programs on track.
  • Spot knowledge or execution gaps and take steps necessary to highlight/remedy.
  • Utilize metrics, KPIs, and data to help drive decision making across both the immediate Product Innovation Team as well as cross-functional teams.
  • Channel global information to local teams, act as conduit to support the business.
