Sr. Technical Project Manager needed for a Contract opportunity with SOC's client to work onsite in McLean, VA (will move to Chantilly, VA office in Jan 2026). Contract length: 3+ years, possible to extend and/or convert to client FTE. If you enjoy working with new technologies, enterprise-leading equipment, and seek to design, deploy, and maintain development pipelines, we would like to speak to you. This position will play a key critical role in building, maintaining, and optimizing the underlying infrastructure to support Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads. You will join a diverse team of platform engineers to design, deploy, maintain, and secure platform infrastructure. You will collaborate with people inside and outside the organization to deliver the highest standards for building, deploying, and securing infrastructure.

  • Navigate project complexity, align it with business goals, and lead a technical team to success.
  • Create comprehensive project plans, define the scope, set clear objectives, and manage deliverables.
  • Identify potential risks early on and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee project delivery efforts, ensure delivery timelines are met, and lead the project escalation process.
  • Manage change requests without derailing the project.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in distributed systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with development teams, operations, security, and other stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead technical initiatives.
  • Proactively identify and address potential issues, with a strong sense of ownership over the platform.
  • Adapt to a rapidly evolving cloud-native landscape.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence polygraph.
  • Current IAM Level II to satisfy DOD 8570 IAT requirements.
  • Proficiency in different project management frameworks like Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes cluster deployments to support large-scale AI platforms.
  • Knowledge of what it takes to deliver Datacenter as a Service.
  • Experience leading ATO efforts and the processes required to maintain security compliance.
  • Strong background in Linux and infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Networking, Storage).
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.
