Super Micro Computer, Inc. is currently seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager to join our HQ located in San Jose, CA. TPM acts as the main interface with a key technology partner and is responsible for overall joint project execution, risk and schedule management. TPM will work closely with R & D, product manages, production, purchasing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure overall technical design and production quality meet customer requirements.

  • Collaborate with product owners and technical leads to identify and collect requirements for new product.
  • Build, manage, and implement comprehensive long-term programs, including setting timelines, allocating resources, and establishing progress checkpoints. and is able to anticipate and manage risks associated with change through appropriate prioritization.
  • Work with mechanical and hardware design teams to find creative solutions to hard problems, and co-develop solutions and mitigation strategies.
  • Lead planning with key internal teams on capacity demands with engineering roadmaps.
  • Translate program requirements into basis of design documents.
  • Bring together team members and foster a collaborative approach to delivery while holding team members accountable to action items and timelines.
  • Document and communicate risks, assumptions, and constraints using historical data and expert judgment in order to understand program limitations
  • Outstanding long-term planning and execution skills to carry our data center lifecycle planning.
  • Strong grasp of data center mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure, with a preference for experience in managing High Performance Compute data centers.
  • 8+ years of experience providing program and project management leadership for data center projects covering construction of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing with large-scale server, storage, and network deployments.
  • Adaptive to changes in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, demonstrating ownership and a mission-focused attitude.
  • Proficient in generating impactful metrics, reports, and dashboards to highlight project health and status.
  • Collaborative approach and strong problem-solving skills to work with leaders across organizational and technical domains.
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills to lead effectively across cultures and geographies.
  • BS or MS degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience).
