Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, physics, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry, including some wafer fab equipment hardware experience (e.g. escalation support, product support, etc.)
  • Familiarity with one or more of Applied Materials' product lines, such as deposition, etch, metrology, inspection, or CMP
  • Collaborative and “get things done” attitude
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Willingness to learn and integrate AI systems to further SPG Velocity and Productivity mission
  • Ability to lead and drive programs across multiple functions
  • Able to occasionally work early or evening hours to engage with our global colleagues

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of sub-fab equipment and facility support systems is highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Lab planning and development
  • Monitor delivery of lab programs from ideation and scoping through completion, ensuring alignment with customer timelines and business objectives
  • Support lab and capex projects through internal approval processes
  • Document current lab development processes (in conjunction with other groups), identify best practices, and drive continuous improvement
  • Lab optimization
  • Develop system for summarizing/collating/presenting global lab capabilities
  • Collaborate with global labs to define success metrics for regional labs and track progress
  • Develop and collaborate on lab optimization process to ensure effective use of our global lab footprint
  • Work with Global Workplace and Infrastructure (GWI) to optimize bay charges
  • Develop internal/external communications on status of in-progress labs, upcoming lab plans, and capex management
  • Support capex allocation and management process as needed
  • Support SCLA lab space allocation and long-term planning as needed
