AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion. The TPM role leads the planning and implementation of contract manufacturing (CM) integration capability, as well as scaling and continuous improvement efforts. Planning and implementation efforts are focused on manufacturing capacity including layout, line, test infrastructure and labor models factoring in variability, yield, utilization, and cycle-time. The role will also drive cross-INFRA projects related to end to end cycle-time reduction and fulfilment network optimization, contributing to the overall cost reduction, emission reduction and service level improvement. The right individual will partner cross functionally with hardware engineering, operations, planning, design, contract manufacturers for above mentioned efforts and projects. Possessing strong leadership, influencing skills, and technical depth are critical elements of success for this role.

  • In depth understanding of relevant safety regulations for use of robotic equipment in close proximity to workers
  • Design or provide input to part design to create the fixtures and equipment for robotic and semi-automated systems to aid in manufacturing at lowest cost and shortest cycle time
  • Develop systems and metrics to monitor progress and highlight opportunities of improvement in cost, cycle time, OEE
  • Train engineering and operations teams on new processes and techniques
  • Conducts Kaizen activities for continuous improvement of cost and cycle time
  • Collaborates with cross functional team members to gain knowledge and improve product design, processes, and quality
  • Work with upstream vendors and downstream customers to optimize the entire value stream and put together joint processes that will lead better cost and cycle time
