In this role, your primary responsibility will be supporting AWS service teams as a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) supporting delivery of services and features . The AWS Managed Operations (MO) organization was founded in April 2023, with the objective to reduce operational load and toil through long-term engineering, development, and science projects. MO is building the best-in-class engineering and operations team that will own the day-to-day operations for AWS Regions; improving the availability, reliability, latency, performance and efficiency to operate AWS Regions. You will have the opportunity to work closely with AWS leadership and Service Teams to deliver novel solutions in commercial, government and Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC). You will advocate for customer needs, and collaborate with Service Teams to deliver solutions that improve cloud operations for AWS customers. You will work with all stakeholders to develop schedules that ensure timely launch of services and features, identifying dependencies within these regions. You will assess risks, anticipate issues, and balance business needs and constraints. Successful candidates will have a strong program management background, be detail oriented, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. You will have a deep understanding of program management best practices. You will successfully represent program status to AWS Senior Leadership. Your program management expertise and operational excellence will influence the team’s decisions and drive secure and scalable solutions. You should be passionate about delivering great customer experiences and researching and developing new delivery methodologies.   • Be a mission-critical member of the leadership team, unify distributed engineering efforts and own the plan to deliver high-profile new tools and features for developers that build AWS
  • Lead strategic initiatives across many AWS teams that will provide developers with high-impact improvements
  • Draw on your knowledge of software development to hold a high standard of excellence for the developer experience
  • Drive technical requirements, design, and delivery planning, working across engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure successful launch of initiatives

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • 8+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • 6+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.
  • The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market.
  • Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
