About The Position

The Quality Assurance Technician plays a key role in ensuring product and process quality by supporting and maintaining Quality Management System (QMS) requirements. This position provides real-time quality support on the production floor, conducts audits and process evaluations, and partners closely with Quality Engineers to address nonconforming material, corrective actions, and product containment. In addition to core responsibilities, the QAT may have opportunities to build or enhance systems, develop and implement training programs, support site-wide or company-wide initiatives, and contribute to updates of QMS policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or AA/AS degree (or equivalent 2-year post–high school training) with at least 4 years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of hand tools and measuring equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, customer specifications, purchase orders, and written and verbal instructions
  • Proven ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw sound conclusions

Responsibilities

  • Perform product and process audits, including Process Walks (LPAs), Surveillance, and Certifications
  • Enforce quality policies and procedures to maintain product integrity
  • Support operator and inspector skill development through hands-on training and coaching
  • Coordinate suspect product containment and corrective actions with Quality Engineers
  • Identify quality trends and lead Sherlock Investigations to support Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
  • Manage the flow of non-conforming materials (NCMs) in accordance with site procedures
  • Create and deliver Quality Alerts to communicate quality-related changes impacting the production floor
  • Collaborate effectively across teams and communicate clearly at all levels
