About The Position

In the Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Customer Experience (MSP CX) organization at Amazon, we are dedicated to working backwards from customer needs and representing their voice throughout the entire product lifecycle. This includes everything from product development to deployment, support, and service, all while embodying Amazon's leadership principle of Customer Obsession. Our mission is to transform stand-alone work-cells into end-to-end integrated solutions that are safe, easy to operate, maintain, deploy, and service. If you are passionate about the latest advancements in Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging automation technology and want to play a vital role in Amazon's dynamic growth, we invite you to consider joining our team. As a Deployment Technical Infra Program Manager (TIPM), you will collaborate with multiple project managers and engineers involved in deploying MSP solutions at both newly constructed sites and operational fulfillment centers. Your responsibilities will include monitoring project progress, ensuring deliverables are met, adhering to budgets, managing scope, addressing resource constraints, evaluating vendor performance, and resolving technical challenges. You will guide multiple projects through their entire lifecycle, from planning and execution to ramp-up support. This role requires you to develop new work scopes for programs, create Requests for Proposals (RFPs), establish requirements and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for vendors, manage resource expectations, and oversee hardware development from concept to implementation and ramp-up. The ideal candidate will be proactive and take independent initiative in program management. You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement ideas into the deployment cycle time, focusing on safety, quality, and productivity. Additionally, you will detail engineering design improvements to the hardware engineering and product teams to simplify installation processes. Building relationships and capturing the voice of the customer will be crucial in this role. Project durations can vary from a few days to several months, and the position requires travel across the US, with the possibility of some international work. In this role, you will manage the development of project plans and technical solutions, influence decisions on deployment and machine performance strategies, collaborate with technical teams to optimize solutions, and make recommendations on technical features for products. You will own the tactical planning for the installation of complex cross-functional projects, manage annual planning of resources and budgets, and communicate program execution and performance to various stakeholders. This is a travel-based role, requiring you to meet project requirements across North America, with travel expectations upwards of 75% or more. A valid US driver's license is required for this position.
