Requirements

  • 5+ years manufacturing experience, aerospace industry preferred
  • 1+ years of demonstrated leadership experience
  • Strong technical skills related to manufacturing with ability to prioritize and appropriately delegate as needed.
  • Strong communications skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels in the organization.
  • Problem solving skills and achieving results.
  • Ability to lead and train others.
  • Solids computer skills, working with Micro Soft products and an ERP/MRP software.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead production teams to ensure high levels of productivity, quality, and teamwork
  • Lead by example through clear communication, training on new procedures, and ongoing coaching and development
  • Set performance expectations, conduct evaluations, and address employee relations matters in a timely manner
  • Direct the work of Team Leaders, as needed
  • Prioritize work, maintain appropriate staffing levels, and ensure balanced workflow
  • Track and monitor production output to ensure productivity and quality standards are consistently met
  • Communicate effectively across departments and provide regular reporting on performance and metrics
  • Manage departmental expenses
  • Utilize Lean manufacturing principles to drive improvements in cost, product flow, throughput, productivity, quality, and delivery
  • Monitor line performance, capacity planning, and key performance metrics
  • Troubleshoot assembly and machining process issues; resolve or escalate as appropriate
  • Partner with Order Processing, Engineering, and Sales to resolve production or customer-related issues
  • Serve as acting Value Stream Manager or Manufacturing Supervisor when needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support 5S program adherence
  • Deliver a high level of service to internal and external customers and foster a positive team environment
  • Participate in cross-training and perform additional duties as assigned
