About The Position

The successful candidate will be a highly capable, responsible, and hands-on tax professional. Sr. Tax Analyst will work in a challenging, fast-paced, and dynamic team environment, supporting domestic and international tax provision, compliance processes and ad-hoc projects. This position reports to the Director, Tax.

Requirements

  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Prior remote work experiences and proven use of communication tools such as Slack, Zoom or Teams.
  • Ability to contribute to team efforts by effectively navigating time zone differences to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and independently with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Experience in performing tax research utilizing traditional tax research engines as well as AI tools.
  • Desire working and building career in a challenging, rapidly changing, dynamic work environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Three plus (3+) years of tax experience with mid- to large public accounting firm and/or publicly traded corporate tax department.

Nice To Haves

  • MS in Taxation or CPA licensure.
  • Experience in OneSource Tax Provision software.
  • Experience in fixed assets management software.
  • Experience using research tools, i.e. Bloomberg Tax and AI.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare U.S Federal and state tax returns workpapers.
  • Review company's tax returns prepared by outside providers.
  • Lead and prepare quarterly federal and state income tax estimates and extensions.
  • Participate in preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provision workpaper supporting the overall process.
  • Draft tax footnotes for SEC filings.
  • Analyze and reconcile tax accounts and perform flux analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with outside service providers on other business tax processes such as annual reports filings, business registrations, withdrawals and business surveys.
  • Monitor legislative developments, assess, and effectively communicate relevant impacts.
  • Work closely with treasury department on FBAR filing.
  • Suggest, develop, and implement process improvements where applicable.
  • Initiate and draft responses to federal and state tax notices.
  • Assist in various ad hoc projects as needed.
