The Home Depot's Tax Department is seeking a Sr. Tax Analyst - Tax Technology & Innovation to spearhead the continued digital modernization of the global tax function. This role is responsible for the design, development, and deployment of next-generation intelligent solutions across all tax functions, aiming to transform complex financial data into a strategic asset. The primary objective is to drive significant efficiencies, mitigate risk, and establish a cost-effective, future-ready tax operating model. The Senior Analyst is critical for achieving enhanced operational efficiency, supporting scalable growth, and ensuring the successful adoption of new technology across the organization. As a strategic enabler, this position plays a key role in defining the Tax Technology roadmap. This position holds primary accountability for ensuring the seamless integration and management of all subsidiary entities. This involves actively supporting the integration of processes, data, and systems for new and acquired entities, guaranteeing consistency and alignment with the overall corporate and tax technology strategy. By serving as an essential bridge between tax subject matter experts and technology teams, the role reduces the risk of misalignment, data errors, and compliance gaps, thereby reinforcing tax operations and strategic oversight across the entire integrated enterprise.

  • Building solutions for Tax Planning, Accounting, Research, Compliance, and Audit Defense as needed to meet the goals of the Department.
  • Digital tax transformation to build sustainable technology solutions for tax areas.
  • Improvement of current processes, implementing automation and technology-enabled solutions.
  • Drive a culture of innovation and improvement.
  • Participation on cross-functional teams as a subject-matter expert.
  • Coaching and mentoring of associates in the department.
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate technical tax skills appropriate for the years of experience in one or more tax disciplines.
  • Demonstrate leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage and implement multiple complex projects.
  • Proven analytical and problem resolution skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a Master's degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3+ years of related work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A natural flair for problem solving and an entrepreneurial approach to work.
  • A strong interest in technology and its use in business processes.
  • A demonstrated ability to capture and synthesize business requirements.
  • A broad understanding of tax accounting and major tax processes.
