About The Position

Here at Lockheed Martin's MST business in Moorestown, NJ, we are working on many exciting defense programs, and developing cutting edge products and applications to meet the complex and evolving needs of our customers. Major programs on which we are currently working include Aegis, Space Fence, Littoral Combat System (LCS), and many more. Engineers working in the System Safety Engineering group contribute to a wide variety of projects based on our business needs. It involves working as an independent contributor with team leadership to perform Systems Safety Engineering tasks in support of project objectives.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent is required for this position.
• Experience with Weapon System Safety or Combat System Safety.
• Experience in Doors.
• Experience in Software System Safety (MIL-STD-882).
• Experience with Site Safety and OSHA Standards.
• Familiarity with design of software programs, control systems, and integration and test of system and subsystem components.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Prior operational experience with deployed US Navy Aegis Systems.

Responsibilities

• Requirements analysis, interface analysis, and operations analysis.
• System safety test and verification.
• Working directly with customers and project leadership to report out on safety analyses.
• Preparing reports, reviewing subcontractor safety documentation and analysis, and leading various safety program tasks.
