Are you a bold thinker? At SNC, we dream big—advocating the exploration of space, keeping service members safe, and creating the systems that protect and sustain our way of living. Join our team! As a Senior Systems Engineer within our Mission Systems Integration directorate, you'll play a critical role in advancing our ground-based air defense systems and CUAS technologies. You will use your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify, and improve cutting-edge defense solutions. Your responsibilities will include developing complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, guiding them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test using progressive tools. As a cross-functional engineer, you will take system-level ownership of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring they meet rigorous performance and reliability standards. You will collaborate closely with project engineers, external customers, and field-based employees to integrate various technological components into cohesive and effective defense mechanisms. Additionally, you will work alongside our software team to develop and field software for these systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. You will also collaborate with internal hardware design engineers, including mechanical and electrical engineers, to ensure that all components work together harmoniously. Your ability to bridge the gap between software and hardware, and coordinate efforts among different engineering disciplines, will be crucial to the success of our projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including fielded systems, new developmental contracts, and internal research and development initiatives. This variety not only ensures that your work will be dynamic and engaging but also allows you to contribute to both the immediate needs and future advancements of our defense systems. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.
