YOUR ROLE We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to manage and execute site network infrastructure projects across North America. This role involves overseeing network implementations, coordinating with cabling contractors, and ensuring timely procurement and installation of hardware components. You will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to maintain corporate standards, provide clear documentation, and deliver seamless network operations. The position requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while traveling extensively.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 10+ years’ experience with data networking
  • Excellent Troubleshooting skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of networking protocols.
  • Advanced knowledge of Visio or similar flow-charting program.
  • Professional communication skills.
  • Ability to work alone, without daily, direct supervision.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
  • Approximately 40 – 50% travel within North America (US and Canada)

Responsibilities

  • Manage site Network Implementations.
  • Coordinate with cabling contractors
  • Obtain hardware quotes for Infrastructure components.
  • Generate/Request Purchase Orders for Infrastructure components.
  • Create required Service Requests for Support teams to activate networking equipment.
  • Clear and concise documentation.
  • Communication with external vendors and internal customers.
  • Willingness to follow Corporate Standards.
  • Install Networking equipment to fulfil the plan.
  • Coordinate removal of Infra equipment when a site closes or ceases operations.
