About The Position
Acture Solutions is seeking a skilled and versatile Sr. Systems Engineer to join our Corporate Centralized Services team. This hybrid role supports a range of government, education, and commercial clients. The Senior Systems Engineer plays a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise infrastructure environments to ensure optimal uptime, performance, security, and compliance. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of systems engineering or systems administration experience in an MSP or enterprise environment
- Strong experience with Windows Server (2019–2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell
- Working knowledge of Linux server environments
- Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, and Proxmox virtualization platforms
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune, and Entra ID
- Familiarity with Mosyle/JAMF, SCCM, DNS, DHCP, and patch management
- Ability to execute complex upgrades, integrations, and migrations
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a client-focused environment
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows and Linux server environments
- Architect and support client-facing and internal infrastructure solutions
- Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, and Microsoft 365 environments
- Support Azure services including Entra ID, SharePoint, Intune, and SCCM
- Manage VMware, Hyper-V, and Proxmox environments, including updates, configuration changes, and firmware lifecycle
- Support backup and disaster recovery solutions using tools such as VEEAM, SaaS Backup, and business continuity platforms
- Apply security best practices through patching, endpoint protection, access controls, and email security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
- Troubleshoot escalated technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions
- Execute upgrades, migrations, and greenfield deployments with minimal disruption
- Proactively monitor and tune systems to maximize uptime, performance, and reliability
- Collaborate with project managers, field technicians, and helpdesk teams on infrastructure initiatives
- Maintain clear technical documentation, system configurations, and asset inventories
- Provide mentorship and support knowledge sharing across the team
- Participate in internal and client-facing audits supporting HIPAA, SOC2, and other compliance standards
