We are excited to announce an opportunity for the Coyote Effector Sr. Systems Rocket Motor Integration & Qualification Test Engineer to join our team in Tucson, AZ. In this role, you will contribute to the critical process of ensuring all system components meet required specifications and performance standards prior to delivery. We are looking for a candidate with hands-on experience in testing and verifying development systems, who is eager to grow in a fast-paced and evolving environment. You will assist in lab test and integration activities, supporting the preparation and execution of qualification tests. As part of this role, you will work collaboratively with experienced team members and across multiple disciplines to help define and implement test strategies, develop and execute test plans, support test events, perform hands-on integration and testing, and contribute to test reports. Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline, such as Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics or Math and a minimum of Five (5) years of relevant experience
  • Experience with preparing and conducting test related reviews (CTS, TRR & ESRB’s)
  • Experience with hardware and software integration, preferably on military platforms
  • Experience with lab environment, electrical troubleshooting, utilization of lab equipment and hardware builds
  • Experience with Rocket Motors
  • Experience with Hazard Classification standards and guidelines
  • Experience with failure investigations and/or RCCA's (Root Cause Corrective Action)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Rocket Motor testing and Hazard Classification standards and guidelines
  • Experience with Coyote flight test operations
  • Experience creating integration and verification strategies/procedures
  • Experience in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with missile/launcher/munitions such as TOW, Stinger, Excalibur, or Coyote

Responsibilities

  • Perform Rocket Motor Qualification testing and Hazard Classification planning and execution.
  • Execute integration activities of hardware and software configurations with test equipment.
  • Update, develop, maintain, and improve requirements, concepts of operations, and define system interfaces.
  • Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real-world environments and perform/execute the testing.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and impact.
  • Create/modify documentation in support of reviews associated with formal testing, which may include Test Readiness Review (TRR), Consent to Ship (CTS), and Test Data Review (TDR) packages.
  • Perform Platform Integration, Flight Test, Qualification, Design Verification Execution
  • Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.
  • Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements and effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Conduct statistical and numerical analysis test data to ensure optimal system performance and verify requirements.
  • Present technical findings and solutions to leadership and customers.
  • Collaborate across functions to drive performance improvements and resolve system issues.
  • Conduct trade studies and present results to stakeholders.
  • Travel as needed to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.
