We’re looking for Sr. Systems Engineer - RF Signal and Sensor Modeling Engineers who enjoy solving complex problems, engaging in a dynamic team environment, and are eager to learn. As a Sr. Systems Engineer - RF Signal and Sensor Modeling Engineer, you will work on a close-knit team to create advanced, physics-based modeling solutions in a DoD Space. You will develop key technologies in the RF domain to help engineers grasp the most complex aspects of energy transport, enabling the design and test of tomorrow’s artificial intelligence algorithms and hardware solutions. You will deploy cutting-edge technologies, leverage your software development skills and collaborate with your Signal and Sensor Modeling peers. This is an Onsite role in Tucson, AZ.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and a minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience applying object-oriented software design and programming in C or C++
  • Experience using Python or MATLAB for evaluation of data sets
  • Experience with UNIX / Linux or Apple OS or Windows DOS command line
  • Experience in radar processing, Imaging RF systems, energy transport, radar physics, signal processing, and/or discrimination algorithms
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Interim Secret Security Clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with OpenGL, CUDA, or other GPU accelerated languages/architectures and Scene Generation/Sensor Modeling technologies
  • Experience with electronic warfare modeling, developing signal processing algorithms for missile applications, signal & image processing, digital communications, or estimation theory, or AI/ML and training techniques
  • Experience with Real-time Programming, software change management tools and processes, using and augmenting Build Systems (Make / CMake), and working with large production software environment
  • Experience interfacing with adjacent engineering disciplines (Signal Processing, Systems Engineering, Hardware Engineering)
  • Advanced Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related STEM degree

  • You will develop new C++ models in an extensible and maintainable fashion.
  • You will deploy Radio Frequency (RF) phenomenology and advanced physics concepts in software implementation.

  • You will work efficiently inside an established software product, across programming languages, and technical environments.
  • You will research and develop novel RF modeling solutions.
  • You will coordinate with multiple development teams to prioritize and solve complex software and physics problems.
  • You will mentor and share RF expertise with your team.
