This role is pivotal within our partner's IT operations, where you will engage in deploying and ensuring the high availability of their internal IT infrastructure. Your expertise in both on-premise Linux environments and cloud capabilities will be key to supporting the systems that drive their business forward. As a technical leader, you will be responsible for sophisticated automation strategies and the implementation of security best practices to enhance operational efficiency while ensuring compliance. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Expert-level Linux systems administration experience (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu).
  • Strong skills in Python and shell scripting for automation.
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience managing hybrid infrastructures (on-premise and cloud-based).
  • Advanced knowledge in configuring authentication systems (LDAP, AD, etc.).
  • Security-first mindset with experience in automated infrastructures.
  • Strong networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and deploy on-premise and cloud-based Linux infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Implement system-level security best practices including patching and hardening.
  • Build and automate deployment pipelines for IT infrastructure services.
  • Serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert collaborating with various IT teams.
  • Participate in a shared on-call rotation for mission-critical IT services.
  • Create and maintain documentation for automation and compliance audits.
  • Identify and drive improvements in system performance and processes.
  • Mentor junior team members to help grow their skills.
